I have the honor to report to Your Lordship, that Major General Jagoilar arrived here on the 27th of last month, and has been sworn in as Lieut. Governor and Member of the Legislative and Executive Council.

Major Caine has also taken the Oaths as a Member of the Councils, and Mr Burgess as Clerk of the Legislative Council. I beg to enclose copies of a Proclamation and Notification issued on the above occasion.

I also beg to enclose a copy of an order appointing Captain Ormsby of 98th Regiment to act as Military Secretary and Aid de Camp.
